(1). There are many types of molds, which can be roughly divided into ten categories. Different types of molds should be selected according to different requirements such as part materials, physical and chemical functions, mechanical strength, dimensional accuracy, surface finish, service life, and economy.
(2). The mold with high precision needs to be processed by high-precision CNC machine tools, and has strict requirements on mold raw materials and forming technology, and also needs to use mold skills to plan and analyze.
(3). For some parts with special forming requirements, advanced processes such as hot runner, gas-assisted molding, and nitrogen cylinders are required in mold production.
(4). The manufacturer of blow molding molds should have CNC, EDM, wire-cutting machine tools and CNC copying milling equipment, high-precision grinding machines, high-precision three-coordinate measuring instruments, computer planning, and related software.
(5). Generally, for large stamping molds, whether there is pressure-edge organization in the machine tool needs to be considered, as well as edge lubricants, multi-station progressive, etc. In addition to considering the stamping tonnage, feeding equipment, machine tools, and mold protection equipment need to be considered.
(6). The above mold manufacturing methods and processes are not possessed and mastered by every enterprise. When selecting a cooperative manufacturer, it is necessary to understand its processing capabilities, not only paying attention to hardware equipment but also taking into account management level, processing experience, and technical capabilities.
(7). For the same set of molds, different blow molding mold manufacturers sometimes have a big price difference. You should not pay more than the value of the mold while also not paying less than the cost of the mold. Blow molding mold manufacturers, like you, need to gain reasonable profits from business. Ordering a set of molds with much lower quotes may start trouble. Users must weigh comprehensively based on their own requirements.
1) Having a qualified mold (with qualified trial parts) does not necessarily mean that mass-produced qualified products can be produced. This is mainly related to the selection of machining machine tools for parts, forming processes (forming temperature, forming time, etc.), and the essence of the operator's technical skills.
2) With good molds, good forming and processing are also necessary. It is best to have one-stop collaboration to prevent multiple collaborations. If the conditions are not available, one party must be selected to take full responsibility, which should be clearly written in the agreement.
